2012 Pre-Season

The 2012 season opener at Mosport is this weekend.

Last weekend we put the finishing touches on the car...

Car on the scales,  and balanced it.

Equal weight distribution left to right.

57% of the weight at the rear.

Heading to the track this afternoon.  Will set up, get the annual tech inspection for the car, and relax.

This weekend should be interesting.  Some minor changes.
First, running a harder compound tire, as Hoosier is no longer making the softer compound one--just not enough demand.
Also the first season with a Head and Neck restraing for the driver. Those poses some challenges, as the cockpit is a very tight squeeze, and the drive position in this car is much more horizontal than other formula cars.
